WWII Bumper Marking

This is a pic of a jeep in the CAMA (Ca-Az Maneuver Area) from Goffs, CA. It's from the 563rd QM Corp. What does it mean that's boxed in red (RHD-1)?

So, reading from left/right, this jeep is in the CAMA training area, belonging to the 563rd QM, RHD Co. 1st vehicle.

Curious, what does an RHD Co. do?

Found that just now...A Railhead Detachment. For this pic, it makes sense as it was shot by a soldier stationed at Goffs, CA, which was a railhead serving the divisional camps close by (Ibis, Essex, Clipper and maybe more).

Rhd Det = Railhead Detachment
Rhd Sup Det = Railhead Supply Detachment

Makes sense and also that the markings are done so well. Stateside would pay closer attention to that.

Thanks,
Peter

I’m so glad you found that. It’s crazy sometimes the itch I just have to scratch but I’ve been looking on and off all day for the answer.
