Re: Mr. Ground's 44GPW
This is a matching numbers October 1944 Gpw owned by Al and Phyllis Grounds, the jeep had been sitting for 15 years as Mr Grounds is no longer able to drive it.
May of 2017 Phyllis asked me and Tim Baltz get the jeep in running condition,it took us a few months to get in shape and now my nephew Jeremy has it at his home to finish the repairs, the jeep runs and stops very well with only a few minor issues to fix,Jeremy is looking forward to helping on this one to prepare him for the script 42 gpw he has,Jeremy has had a great time driving it around Smithville the last few weeks.
I want to thank the Baltz family for helping me keep this old war horse on the road, and look forward to the next project after Jeremy and I replace the synchronizer in Mr Grounds transmission.
