1970 m151A2 for sale
1970 M151A2 for sale. Complete, uncut and titled. In good condition. Older restoration. Floors have been redone. Floors have a thin layer of fiberglass but is very solid and all the drain holes work fine. Floors are very solid. There are a few spots of rust coming thru surface in places but not bad at all. This is a great driver. It has the typical Mutt issues though. The rear bushings need to be replaced. The rear differential is loud. Clutch feels like it slips a little. The transmission takes a little practice to shift into 2/3 without clash. I have top bow, top (2) and rear seat. The tops aren’t the greatest. Tires are older STAs. This mutt needs a little work but would be a great project. More pics on request

Re: 1970 m151A2 for sale
Does it have a title and what year does the title say it is? It is not a 1970, Wrong front fenders. According to the hood numbers it is an early straight 151! Yes, I know, it is only paint.

Title says 70. I doubt the hood numbers are original. The data plate says delivered 10/70 but no guarantee on that either since it’s just pop riveted on.

It is an AMG then, and it has an emissions tank so 74 and up AMG. BUT, It has a title and that is what matters most.

Early AMG vehicles were Not emissions according to Ken so that may not hold true.
For whatever that is worth.

Re: 1970 m151A2 for sale
True, 72 1/2 when AMG started producing the A2 up to around 74 when they started the emissions they were AMG units with no emissions. But this one has an emissions tank and at least one of the emissions lines running up the tunnel past the gas pedal and the big clip to hold all of the lines. I think in one of those pics where you see just the edge of the tunnel in front of the seat I may see the outline of the body tag on the tunnel.
