FS: 1977 AM General M151A2 Military "MUTT"
PHOTO LINK (39 PICS + 2 VIDEOS): https://imgur.com/a/27GG7an
Absolutely stunning, UN-CUT 1977 AM General M151A2 (data plate shows it WAS an M718 Ambulance). 10,300 original miles (I have the original speedometer it came with. There is a N.O.S. speedometer and cable installed because the previous owner thought the speedo didn't work. It was the cable. He installed both new. The original is included also.). Front seat backs are actually bottom cushions, but it provides a very comfy ride. Any spots you see underneath that look like reddish rust are NOT. It is where the black undercoating came off, and it is primer. I am more than happy to re-undercoat those areas. I took the machine gun mount feet off (mount is sold). That is the unpainted spots between the seats. A simple little sanding, and some paint, and it is done. This jeep is super solid. No rust anywhere, and NO patches. It is all original. I have the receipt for $1,250.00, 4 months ago. I had the radiator recored with an American-made core, not Chinese junk. I also had the generator completely rebuilt with seals and bearings, and a new voltage regulator, from a shop with 48 years experience. I have flushed the engine water jacket out good, and it is super clean. Changed the oil regularly with 15-40 Diesel oil (which the Military used), and I only use Ford oil filters with the back flow preventer. No dry start-ups that way. I grease all the U-joints every 200 miles. Typical slow drips from engine and tranny (all i can see anyway). I have driven it 500 miles and barely had to put engine oil in. I have not had to add fluid anywhere else yet. This MUTT has just over 10k miles on it. Tires are still very good and not cracked or dry rotted. It passed inspection perfectly here, and they are very stringent here. All lights work. I made videos on 10/28/21 of it running. It had not been started in over a month. Fired right up. It always does. Charges excellent. Never an issue. There are no battery hold downs. Just a strap that holds in the two new (6 months old) Interstate 51R batteries in place. never had any issues. There is a guy on G503 that sells original type brackets to fit these commercial batteries. This MUTT is in absolutely turn-key, excellent shape. Ready to jump in a go down the road. It has always had 91 Octane, Ethanol-Free gas used in it, along with ethanol "stabilizer" to remove anything extra.
$SOLD! No help needed to load, as it will start right up and drive onto a trailer! Please email me at dogfacesupply@gmail.com or call me at 802-316-1020 (Eastern time. No calls after 9:30 p.m. please). Cash, or certified bank check accepted as payment. I will take a personal or business check, but expect it to clear MY bank first. All payments to be received and cashed before the vehicle moves.[/size][/b]

Evidence shows it was a 718 in it's early life.
