M151 Engines

Post by Hummer998 » Thu Jan 17, 2019 8:22 pm

I have over 20 take out engines for the M151 series jeeps, some are the later A2 versions, I don't have a way to test them. No starters or generators or carburetor, or transmission these have been removed already to have tested and sold separately. Engine only for $300.00 each located in Whitwell, TN 37397 if interested. I would rather not ship because of the cost and hassle of crating.

You should go to 838.org with them to sell. Shipping is cheaper than you think. Just find a small pallet to put one on and take it to YRC (yellow).. They only cost about 120.00 ea. to ship anywhere in the 48 States. Cheers

YRC made me build a crate over my engine when I took it there. I am sure it depends on your location, but the manager told me he had far too many insurance claims without it. fwiw. But your price was correct.

Fastenall will ship engines strapped to a pallet. They do not require anything more then the pallet. Its not very expensive and its easy

They required a full crate on the last one I had shipped about a year ago. Maybe things have changed, I know their rates certainly have, for the worse!

Fastnall will ship with no crate but not insure it. Needs to be "enclosed" to be insured with them. A third party now handles all their shipping and it takes days to get a quote and it is not as cheap as it was a few years ago. The word got out, I guess.
