How did A3 and A4 get there serial numbers, registration number and date of delivery? When they were converted did they transfer the serial number and registration number from the 4 cyclinder model? And when they were converted was that the new date of delivery? Or did the kits come with plates prestamped? Which I don't think was the case. Sence both A3 and A4 plates where in the same kit. Just been curious how it came about.
Thanks Brad

Re: M274A3 and A4 serial numbers
If you figure that out, please let me know; I have been looking for years! I'd also like to know who had the contract to supply the kits and/or do the conversions. I THINK the A3 may have been Baifield Industries and the A4 MAY have been Kaiser Jeep Corp., I have photos of data plates showing both but I can't confirm either.
