Going to try to build a reproduction “close enough” engine guard for my M274A4 and was wondering if someone could help me with materials dimensions. I assume the main tubes are 1” 14 ga tube like the side rails. Are the lateral bars on the engine guard 3/8” solid bar? Also, I’m guessing the slotted attachment tubes at the frame brackets are 1” OD 0.25” wall. Going to buy some steel Monday. Thanks for any help.

Re: Engine Guard Materials
yes on all except attachment bars, they are solid, drilled and slotted. Post some photos of your guard, we would be interested in seeing how it comes out.

Re: Engine Guard Materials
Thanks for the pictures and the info. Got the steel yesterday, have the bender and dies, just need to get it mounted so I can start bending tubes. Going to give it a shot and will follow up.
