Hi guys, I have had my mule awhile and it's been running great. I have done some of the work on it but the hubs and seals were done by the prev owner.
I have been using it in 2 wheel steer for the last two years. I have lots of room to drive it so just didn't try it in 4 wheel steer. So, for fun the other day I changed it over to 4 wheel steer.
It sure does turn sharper and takes a little getting use to when in any gear above 1st. Diving in a straight line used to be easy, now in 4 wheel steer it will be going straight without me turning the steering wheel, then it's going off course. It does this wander to both the right and left directions. I can correct it by moving the steering wheel a little.
Is that wander normal in 4 wheel steer or do I need to start hunting down something worn out like rear tie rods?
Thanks, Alan

Re: 2 Wheel vs 4 Wheel Steer
In 4-WS, the mule is a little sketchy, especially at higher speeds. You need to make sure all the tie rod ends are tight, the bell cranks are tight and especially check the 4-wheel alignment.
