Diesel Engine Swap?
Anybody know of a diesel engine that is a relatively straightforward swap, or would it be a nightmare of building adapters? Thanks

Don't think there is one. It would have to lay on its side. Ive wondered about putting a Yanmar 3 cylinder diesel in a mule. To lay it over you would definitely have to fabricate a new sump and pickup at a minimum.

Yeah, kinda what I was thinking. For what it’ll be used for I’d probably be better off to sell the mule and buy a diesel side by side. Thanks

Yep. I got a M-gator for my actual chores around the place. Made for the military by John Deere, side by side, diesel, power drop side dump bed, automatic, full electrical system. Much easier to get in and out of too. Not as cool as the Mule but so much more practical.
