M274 primer pump question

Post by bms07 » Mon Jul 27, 2020 4:13 am

I have the early primer pump for the 4 cyclinder. Has anyone rebuilt one? Looking to rebuild it. I have a NOS primer pump. But it's a little longer. Wont fit in the center of the back of the mule.
Thanks Brad

I have rebuilt many airplane primer pumps. They are not complicated at all. Just a couple orings. Make sure they are fuel proof orings. The orings also need to be lubricated with a fuel proof lube. I have these in stock or you can send it to me and I'll rebuild it for you. email me if you are interested.

I use some stuff called Fuelube that I bought 25 years ago. Unfortunately it is no longer available but I still have a small amount left. The replacement for it is available from Aircraft Spruce and Specialty https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/ ... ey=3352186
I don't like it quite as well as the original stuff because the original had the consistency of butter and the new stuff is a little thinner and is in a tube instead of a one pound can. Some people like the new stuff just as well. I'm just old and set in my ways.
