If you use the search function on this forum, you will find plenty of discussions on plugs and heat ranges. The 2223 plugs are no longer available, but there are others that will work just fine, but I would only recommend Autolite plugs, not Champion.

You can run Autolite 2226 plugs, check this link to e-bay or call John Emery or Charles Witt. ... 5146!US!-1

I have been using Autolite 2224. They are just a very little bit hotter than a 2223 but your engine will never know the difference. The heat range does not mean the plug fires hotter anyway. I just bought 6 off of Ebay for around 24 bucks. There are plenty on there for sale in different quantities with free shipping.

I suggest using the hotter auto light 2226 spark plugs if you only run your Mule for short periods of time. I suggest using the auto light 2224 plugs if you run your Mule for longer periods of time such as 2 to 8 hours. Since the Mule has a compression ratio of 6.5 to 1 there is no concern for preignition or knocking because of the hotter spark plug.

Contact me as I have both Autolite 2224 and 2226 Plugs in stock
