Hello Peep,

What a great set of updates on your keep project !!!

You are making good progress, and those Deestone tires look pretty nice !

I run Deestone tires on the front of 2 small Ford tractors, and they are very high quality, and I am very happy with them.
Made in Thailand, where they have great rubber 😃😃😃 .

Keep us posted !

Best Regards,
Ray

Hi Ray!

Yes, I was impressed with the Deestones from what I've seen and heard. I wanted a set that I could put some miles on without feeling bad, and these fit the bill nicely! The sale price was $88.07 each when I ordered them a couple weeks ago, I see they are now $103.50!

Now I just need to wait for Ron to get those JMP rims in!

Regards, and keep'em rolling!

I'll be adding an update tonight, but I wanted to pause for a moment and remember V-E Day (8 May) 1945.

Hello Peep,

Yes it is always important to Remember V-E Day and V-J Day !!
Never forget !!!

Those JMP Combat Rims from Ron should be great.
He said maybe 3 weeks out now :D :D :D

The prices of tires are going straight upward !!

You should like those Deestones !
I am wanting to get some Deestones for my CCKW project, but they seem to not be available in the USA, even though they are available in Europe.

I would really like Firestones from Coker, but they are just way to expensive !!
Hopefully they will drop the price a little !
Speedway makes them, and the are still affordable, and are available in the USA.

A G member was talking about making CCKW tires here in the USA as well, but the cost of oil, directly impacts the price of tires, hopefully he will be successful !!

Best Regards,
Ray

Hi Ray!

That's FANTASTIC news about the rims!!

Yes, I can't wait to mount the Deestones! I wanted to go with the Firestones, but I want to have a little fun with the jeep too and I don't want to kill the tires at those prices!

The CCKW project sounds fun! I hope you can get the tires, and soon too! I've always wanted a CCKW project, but one thing at a time :D

Hey everyone!

Well it's not perfect..yet, but the GPW turned 80 today!! :D

Image

I had to go with an MDJ windshield frame for now (better than I expected), and an MDJ driverseat (it could be better, but it will work for now).

Currently waiting on my top from WeeBee webbing! Counting down the days almost to the estimated completion date

See you later, keep'em rolling!

Happy Birthday to Peep !

She is looking great, and I know she will look way better with the correct tires and rims in the future !!
The MDJ windshield looks really good !

I just finished building 5 MDJ Combat rims, with new Firestones , and South Korean made correct tubes.
The rims are very good, and everything went together well.

Best Regards,
Ray

Very nice !!
We need to always remember !

I propose that the USA makes June 6th a National Holiday of Commemoration of D-Day in honor of all the D-Days and our Troops.

I wonder how we go about getting that accomplished, not to Mention Pearl harbor Day, VE and VJ Day as additional worthwhile National Holidays !

Best Regards,
Ray

Another photo, if there were a G503 rim that is photogenic, the Joes Motor Pool ones would be it!

Just absolutely thrilled with them, mounted a set of tires, tubes & flaps with NO issues.
