Re: ETHANOL FREE GASOLINE-GOOD STUFF
I run non ethanol in my GPW. I get it from a local heating oil dealer. They have a fuel club selling Sunoco and they keep it on hand for their antique vehicles.
I also sell Powermist race fuel. Powermist has an additive called “Performance Concentrate”. They also make a marine grade.
It can be used as an octane booster, stabilizer, fuel system cleaner and it has other beneficial properties depending on the mixing ratio, (generally 1.5 to 3oz per gallon for basic auto use). I add it to my non ethanol fuel and I’ve noticed the Jeep barely turns over before it fires off and it seems more responsive with no hesitation or sluggishness.
I use the same in my mowers, snowblower, pressure washer, ATV’s and snowmobiles with no problems.

Re: ETHANOL FREE GASOLINE-GOOD STUFF
I don't think we can get ethanol free petrol here in Ireland. At the moment most contain 5% ethanol and that is soon to be increased to 10% from what I am reading.
I think Ireland has one of the largest % of population owning vintage cars, tractors and all sorts of old vehicles in the world per capita so I would say the Irish Vintage Society will lobby to not let this happen or that at least a lower % fuel option will be available for vintage cars etc.

Re: ETHANOL FREE GASOLINE-GOOD STUFF
Unfortunately Parker, in the UK (can't say for Ireland) AVgas is died blue to denote untaxed fuel - not for road use - or Plod (the cops) will remove a lot of your green backs for their Christmas drinks fund ! You will also need a reason to buy some I would expect - now if you had your own plane or knew someone who did....
We can buy race fuel over here and not a lot of people will know this but that can be had in leaded - as the UK has an arrangement with the EU that 1% of fuel sales can be leaded - plus its high octane juice ! Only snag is it is 3 times the price of pump fuel so 25 Litres is around £88 delivered to your home.
Cheers Barrie

Re: ETHANOL FREE GASOLINE-GOOD STUFF
Just worked out what the fuel in my previous post would cost in the US.
25 Litres is about 6.6 US gallons and an average price per Gallon of Gas in the US is around $2.50 (or is it less than that now?) so $16.50 for the 25L . The leaded fuel would cost me in the UK £88 which on current rate of exchange would be $111 for 6.6 Gallons of Gas.
phew !

Re: ETHANOL FREE GASOLINE-GOOD STUFF
go to airport, write tail number down from plane on runway like a cessna then go say need gas for this plane. if not using on government roads you not breaking laws maybee haahah. in usa we have self pump so just put tail number in and go. if it blue carry a jug of oil for chainsaw it is blue. say keeping old engine running since new fuel no lead. no cop can argue .

Re: ETHANOL FREE GASOLINE-GOOD STUFF
I believe ethanol free fuel is still available in most of the UK. I use Esso Synergy Supreme+ which according to Esso’s website is ethanol free in my location.
Quote from their website...........
Esso super unleaded petrol (Synergy Supreme+ Unleaded 97) is ethanol free (except in Devon, Cornwall, the Teesside area and Scotland). We would therefore advise anyone who has concerns about the presence of ethanol in petrol to use Synergy Supreme+ – providing they do not fill up in Devon or Cornwall, the Teesside area or Scotland.
