Still need the overall length on the radiator support arm if anybody could help me out with that. As you can see it has been cut and added to.

Some exciting things happened today! This morning my tires came in so tomorrow will be spent putting those together BUT! My amazing girlfriend surprised me with an early xmas present and scored an m100 trailer for a really good price! The plan with this little beauty will be to restore it as a WWII bantam trailer. Cut off the grab handles and box bracket, WWII lights, bantam brakes, combat wheels, and get the lunette back on.

Think I have a keeper!

Today I got the wheels mounted on the rims then cut and welded the radiator support. Also through surfing posts a few days ago I found out about these books and ordered them to help with the assembly. Its been pretty cools finding out all the Ford parts that have found there way onto my mb over the years.

Yesterday I made a quick basket to hang ammo cans off the .30cal, it moves with the gun and is part of the pin. I made a nice hole on the far end to run an old U.S. brass padlock on so no one can swipe it fast lol. Also my travel bar for the M31c came in the mail so today I will finish up the blocks to the mount and get it ready for paint.

Really like your M/G set up, I have a .50 cal on my 43 GPW but I'm looking for a .30 to replace it, I think the .30 look's better on a WW2 jeep.
Your ammo. rack on the lt. rear fender on page 2 look's great also.

Hi mate.
Thanks for posting these great photos of your Jeep. Not sure if you realise, but seeing work like yours and how you approach it sure does help others (like me!!!) to plan and get their projects going.

A word of advice though, while in red oxide and the unfinished body paint, I suggest you fit the seal to the windscreen frame and make sure it sits right/seals/you are happy with it. With the level of perfection in your welds, I’m sure issues with that screen not sitting right would really bug you! I’ve learnt from prior experience!

In your early photos, there is a mirror arm on your Jeep. Any chance of some photos of it- either side, top/bottom view from about a foot away? Trying to get some samples and make a pattern to help others with what was on what and when.

Again, thanks for sharing wha you have already and I look forward to seeing more!

M31c pedestal done and ready for paint! Last night I finished up my mount and took the body off the frame for the last time to clean up the metal work and get her ready for paint. I will also at this time be fixing my cross-member brackets and a few little thing with the frame and get that ready for paint!

Today in the mail I should be getting a few things from Ron for my windshield like the screws for the cowl seal, the glass tape, and a bunch of smalls that I need so tonight might be glass and rubber installation.

Thanks mate, they are great photos indeed!!!

Is that the same arm as on the jeep when you got it, or a repro one you fitted?

Again, thanks for your help and sorry for the niggling questions!

That gun mounts looks great! You should start producing some of these things to sell!!! I now Jon doesnt allow commercial production off his plans (you can ask?), but i`m sure you would sell quite a few of those early firewall mounted radio filter housings, or even just the lids!

Cheers,
Ian
