I have had the opposite that person manning a priest from the belgum tank museum at tanks in town told me the gaa engine fitted it it ran rough as the forward cylinders did not get enough voltage as they were furthest away from the magneto and it was a common fault with the gaa!

That explains why the lights each room of my house get dimmer as you walk farther from the electrical panel. This would have been my comment to that electrical guru.

Just remember, many who encounter you and your Jeep have never cracked a book on or seen a Jeep close up, there are all kinds of Jeep owners, and their connection to their Jeeps may not remotely reflect your view of the hobby.

His comment was not about someone ignorant of jeep history but, rather someone that knew little to nothing about electrical theory.

Oh man this was fun to read. Got to revive it. I only recently got a jeep but used to do historical displays for years and so much of the same problems. Long winded babbling, touching everything, lame jokes. After a while with people not heeding the no touching signs I made one that said, "you get grabby, I get stabby." Got a lot of laughs and even seemed to work.
And as for ordnance I had some girl walk up and grab a grenade off the table and smugly ask if it was real. Before I could say no some firemen who had been checking out the display started yelling "oh my God don't move! That's live!" Scarred the pants off her and we all had a good laugh.
