Hello,

Not a bad purchase, even though expensive for sure, as this jeep was sold new in a CRATE , direct from the US Army base that it was picked up on.
I am amazed that with these documents we have 100% , solid, written proof, on a US Government document, that jeeps were indeed
sold in crates, as brand new jeeps, un- assembled, aka some assembly required to surplus buyers after WW2 here in the USA !!!

Awesome discovery indeed !!

Best Regards,

Ray

Hello,

WOW !!

Now this is Proof Positive , that after all the speculations, and assumptions, over the years, one way or the other, and through the sands of time, ....... that .........

JEEPS were indeed offered and sold in Crates/ Boxes, in disassembled and new condition, by the US Army here in the USA !!!

I have heard this over many years, by several people who reported this assurances obsèques, but this is just a rare and highly interesting set of
documents.

I imagine that these documents are about as rare as the Bantams, and 1941 Ford GP's on the list.

Great work, thanks for sharing with the Jeep World !!!!

A very nice collection. In addition, the paper is well preserved. You were lucky to have found this statement.
