I somehow managed to find the time to pull the front diff out,to inspect for wear.Looks like the side bearings have a little wear,so those will need to be replaced when the pinion bearing/race comes out.

I found this old sparton horn,it came off an old 41 Ford Truck.I will re-purpose it for the GP.It is almost identical to to the Original style. The word sparton has raised letters on the front plate on the original. But this is close enough for me.I will buy a reproduction bracket to mount it in it's proper location.I will install proper rivets before mounting,i had to take it all apart, clean it up to get it working again. And used what was at hand to test it out.

Thanks Alan,it is funny you mention the Cold.At 11* yes it is cold out there.I needed to go out to the Jeep Tent today,to do some cleaning & get some kind of heat going so I can work on different projects. Also planned on digging out the Anvil mounted on a pole attached to a semi wheel and dig my work bench out of the snow.I think I might have almost completed half of my Goal!! That's too funny,i got some heat going and I figured to heck with the out-side stuff.I did try to pull tarp off of table, but it was froze to the top.But all n all a Great Day! FORWARD MARCH !!!!!!!!!!!!

So I found some frosted rare bits under the tarp.Original front brake cylinders, and yes they are stuck.I decided to put them in a brake fluid bath, for at least 2-3 weeks. To see if I can get the pistons out,and try to save these.

This is pretty much where I will locate new gas fill hole.I am going to drill that hole hopefully tomorrow, providing I find the right bit. Then I can work on getting these attached to the tank.

I think it is colder,in the 4 stall open garage behind the GP.A few more projects in there, and no feasible way to make room for the GP.It got stuck outside but no big deal, the garage takes forever to warm up.So the GP Auto Garage works out pretty well,I actually have more room to work on it in it's present location, and I can warm it up in minutes!

I know what you mean! I've had to work in an unheated car shelter for 2 years but it was a lot of fun. I've always been scared of those propane heaters, I'm clumsy and always send my sparks when grinding where I shouldn't!

And I never could keep mine clean and tidy like you aha!

Did you have any trouble with snow accumulation? The one I had was more rounded so I didn't have to shovel snow as often (still too much to my taste).

Yes heavy snow will build up pretty fast.So I do have to keep a close eye on how much is up there. But I do remember when I did not have much cover for it before. It got a little wet.
