Anybody can make a respirator, look at the lady using coffee filters. Quick grab your wifes bra, perfect face mask, But how fine will it filter down too? .03microns, the size of the virus itself? or 50 microns, 1/2 the thickness of a human hair, where airborn stuff will go right through. n95's only stop the big droplets, asbestos filters are p100, better but still not fine enough. This homemade stuff may help if somebody coughs on you, but what about the airborn, atomized stuff that is going through the ventilating systems of buildings, buses, airplanes? these clothing companies are making respirators, yet nobody says how fine they are? then what was wrong with the millions that were just recalled by china?

Most of the cloth masks people are sewing for medical personnel have a pocket that you slip a higher efficiency filter into.

FIFY, but it's no secret I hate all unions! They are nothing but legalized extortion! You don't pay, you don't work!

I have changed my perennial New Year's resolution.

Instead of conquering the planet and enslaving it's entire human population, I have decided, in light of recent epidemiological events, to alter my path of achieving world domination.

Instead of launching an all out war to conquer the planet, I now plan to wait until after all the biological events settle themselves, swoop in under the cloud of uncertainty, and become a post apocalyptic warlord

Obviously you didn't READ that article before putting on your Anti-Union tin foil hat.

SEIU didn't HAVE the N95s, so they weren't HOARDING them.

They located a VENDOR who had them.

The VENDOR then sold them directly to those who needed them and SEIU NEVER had them or middlemaned them to the buyers.

This is the kind of mis-information we do NOT need during this crisis.

You may have meant that as a joke, Raymond but me military brain thinks you may not be all wrong.
The world has become so tunnel visioned over the Corny Virus, it is getting scary.
I have one eye on the situation at hand. The other eye is looking around, watching for what is sneaking up on my backside.

Unions got started to have job safety/adequate pay to have a good living for people.Of course there are good unions/bad unions as people are invoked. The people who belong to a union chose to do so though some situations/jobs required it, but in the end the person made the choice.Dues are part of the structure organization as money is required run the union, like anything else.I always thought unions were there for the good of the working man.I'd like to know the man's story why he hates unions(PM).

I thought I did. Extortion. But one could add more reasons. I've been a member of the Teamsters, Operating Engineers and CCPOA. They are crooked, liars, mobsters (Teamsters) and cheats. Any one of their PACs do what they please with your money regardless if you agree or not.

There was a time for unions. Those days are long since past.

Because of unions, the guy who does very little or just enough to get by gets paid the same wage as the guy who busts his rear end. There is zero insensitive to do better or excel. Just like socialism.

No more from me. ;)
