Plate ID?

Post by 42swing » Fri Nov 08, 2019 8:14 am

My wife found a plate on eBay the other day which she got for me as a surprise - I would like to know what it is for?

The embossed metal plate is 7.75 in. long by 3.25 in wide, black with raised areas picked out in yellow, and says:

CLASS - B (the B is twice the size of the other letters)

The plate is in very good shape and definitely period, not a repro. It looks about the size of a motorcycle plate.

Any ideas??

A picture of the bridge plate would help.
