Also curious why the otherwise never-at-a-loss-for-words Chuck hasn't chimed in with congrats or kudos?...?

Adding my congratulations to an award rightfully earned! Well done and long overdue! Where would any of us be without Pioneers like Ron who make little things like this web forum happen every single day for so many years? I, for one of many, am grateful. My little M38 project (that intentionally occupies so much of my time) would likely be in dire straights without RFJP and the boldness it takes to support our endeavors, including operating a web forum that has more than 28,000 members and more than 1.3 MILLION posts of sharing knowledge and the love! <must be like herding cats>

In case anybody missed it: from the MVPA website describing the significance of the Pioneer Award: (*** asterisks *** mine)

"This award recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the advancement of military vehicle collecting and restoration. Any person(s) living or deceased is eligible to receive the award with the exception of those who are currently serving on the MVPA Board of Directors in any elected, appointed, or other official capacity. The award is ***not to be considered as an annual requirement*** of the MVPA, nor is there any restriction on the number of awards that may be presented in any given year."

Your example is a fine piece of what makes America GREAT, and I thank you.

If there's a nomination or citation for the award, I think we'd all be glad to see it posted here. :D

Congratulations Ron, something that was well deserved, My MB would not be what it is without your great service getting the parts to me that I could not get out here. It was great meeting you also when you were out here a few years back.

Keep up the good work.
