Hi
I am trying to restore my ww2. Air compressor back to as original as possible! The problem is mine has been strategically camouflouged for a rusty scrap pile. I was wondering if anyone could help me with how these were painted. I noticed some parts had red and some gray. I know it was retired navy and the red was the civilian schramm color. So was the unit painted civilian then repainted when sent military? Also were the engines a different color? Also need to know if it had the large schramm placards on outside or only civilian models?
Sorry all questions no answers but I want it right...
Thanks
