Headlights

Hello, George. I personally think your command of English is great, considering not having lessons. As Danny says, we have people who spend 12 years in school over here who cannot write a decent sentence, and cannot correctly spell anything with over 8 letters in it. The newspapers here are filled with stories of failing scores on standardized tests at the high school level.
Having fooled with these jeeps as long as I have, and even to this day, knowing as little as I do about some aspects, I certainly have plenty of respect for someone like you who knows what they are talking about. Your explanations are excellent, and plus, we all get a syntax workout which as far as I am concerned, is as enjoyable as the content. Heck, lets just face it. Europeans are far more meticulous and focused than we are as a rule. We use more duct tape, latex caulk, and super glue here in the US than the rest of the world put together, and says it all.
One of these days before I drop, I do hope I will be able to meet you, and Ken. I will be going to Romania sometime this year, and one of the flights goes through Amsterdam. Actually, when my ancestors came from Germany in 1752, they sailed out of Rotterdam to the US. I will look forward to seeing you some day. That would be fun. Thank you for all your good work and advice on the mutts. We need all the help we can get. Ed

I'm the new guy. I checked my M151A1 headlight which did not work on dim. I got power on one wire on dim and power on the other wire on bright. Does that mean the light is bad?

hi

i think a bad light
normaly if the ground is not ok
the light wil burn at the two wires inside and wil surge ground from the other side
it go as follows
power at 17 with ground it lights up
power to 17 no ground the two wires inside are now at series
the rest power go to 18
it looks for ground at the other side 18 to ground
this light burns now at 17 full and 18 1/3
it go spiral 17 to ground not there to spiral 18 with wire 18 to other side to spiral 18 and then to ground
