No idea what a starter cleat was. The slave receptacle is centered in the panel.

I'm a little late on this one, but here goes anyway. If you have an early M151A1 that does not have
a slave receptacle hole cut into that passenger front right panel... then why cut one in 60 years later?
The lack of the receptacle is an original identifier to the vehicle. Personally, I would not do it for two
reasons: 1. Esthetics and originality 2. I'm inherently lazy. Best of luck to you whichever path you choose.

My 1960 M151 does not have the slave receptacle on it for jump-- starting it.

They only had that if they had the heater kit installed. It was part of the kit. Year did not matter.
