Brake Light Troubleshooting

Post by Crux444 » Thu Apr 07, 2022 5:23 am

I removed my rear composite lights to strip and repaint my M151A2; when I replaced them now the brake lights aren’t coming on when I press the brake pedal.

Rear light, turn indicators and B/O markers work. When the brake pedal is depressed, the right rear light does nothing, and rear left light dims. All of the connections are matched correctly to the numbered metal tags.

I’m stumped. Hoping some G4 Bluebell-type can shed some light on this issue (couldn’t resist the pun).

Thanks!

The studs that the light mounts to the body with are the grounds for the lights. They should have star washers under the nuts that will bit into the nut and the body to provide a good ground. This will solve you light problem.
