Re: control arm bushing question
The only thing I see is it looks like you are missing the inner retaining washer on the one side. And do not fully tighten those nuts until the full weight of the vehicle is on the suspension, then tighten them up. You want the bushing rubber to be in a neutral position when the vehicle is sitting in it's normal resting position. Once those nuts are tight the inner bushing does not move at all, just the rubber twisting. If you tighten them now then when you set it down the bushings will be under a constant strain.

Re: control arm bushing question
Ok, I only replaced one set and it was years ago, ever since then I have replaced the entire control arm. I will have to look at mine since you have me curious about that washer. I have a half dozen front suspensions out back to look at.

Re: control arm bushing question
thank you so I must have just, I will put them back up early and wait to get off the vehicle for tightening, I wonder if we need to grease the new bushing a little or not?

Re: control arm bushing question
Those bushings are not greased since once set in place they do not move. That is why you do not tighten them until the vehicle weight is sitting on the suspension. That sets them in the correct position and is where they will live for the rest of their lives.
