M151A2 Carb- gas in carb throat

Post by EvilleMark » Mon May 17, 2021 4:13 pm

My mutt seems to run fine, idles smooth. Does not leak when running. The issue is when I shut it off, gas accumulates in the carb throat and leaks out where the air breather hose attaches. Anyone know the reason for that?

Accelerator pump unloads a shot when the vacuum collapses at shut down. This is normal and helps to restart the engine since there is no mechanical accelerator pump.
