transfer case/trans

Post by sawlk349 » Thu Apr 08, 2021 8:47 am

Transfer case shifter locked up. Removed engine/trans, trans on bench. Found six intermediate roller needle bearings in shift fork of 4 wheel shift drum/shaft ! How in the world with retainer and thrust washer would they come out ? Looks like trans has been serviced prior. Possible left out prior ? I`m perplexed ! Thank you.

Someone was not careful when they put it back together and the needles fell out during assembly.
