Battery frames

Post by Fil Bonica » Wed Mar 03, 2021 6:13 am

Since the 51R has become the common battery for the 151 I have designed a new mounting bracket.
No more dangerous loose batteries!
Will post pics as soon as it is available.
Is there any interest for it?

Fil, How much are you asking for these? Nice looking pieces. Are they stainless or mild steel?

Ok, on the A2 mutt I have a patent frame for it(51R), on the 151 I have regular size batteries in it, with no frame. So that type you do not have?Of course that size could be variedThe frames look pretty good.

$70.00 for a pair plus shipping of $12.00

Parts are made of steel.
Had thought of stainless but it adds cost.
You can paint or rubber cost if you want

The offical released version of the battery hold downs will look like the below drawing. Radii were added around the terminals for additional clearance. If you order from Fil, this is what you'll get:

I will take a pair, especially with the radiused portion being added. Looks like a great deal and will keep those batteries from shorting out on the cover as they bounce around.
Thanks Fil, PM sent.
