Re: brkt. in heater kit
Would it be that for the M151 series jeep it was meant for the Vietnam war thus you didn't need a heater for that environment ?

Re: brkt. in heater kit
Mark...that's exactly what happened. Vehicles came from the production line without heaters..... requests for heater kits had to be justified based on intended vehicle deployment zones. Likewise with canvas and vinyl doors and side curtains.

Re: brkt. in heater kit
The M-151 was not meant JUST for Vietnam, it just happened to come out at that time. It was meant as a replacement for the M38 and its variants. And the M38 was deployed and configured for all kinds of weather from jungles to the arctic.

hi
if it rains and i have the heater on the water go at the rubber to the wndscreen channel
then i have a fogged up window and no heat
if you pull the shifter boot up you have more heat out of it as from the heater

Re: brkt. in heater kit
Whoever designed this heater kit has a hate-on for life and probably chuckles to himself at the thought of someone actually installing it. One of the first things I noticed is discrepancies with some of the measurements. I work on aircraft so I learned a long time ago to take measurements directly from the components and their final placement prior to drilling a single hole. Lines and circles from a sharpie are way easier to remove than misplaced holes. Measure twice, cut once.
