early 1961 M151 correct color?

Post by 45 GPW » Sun Jun 03, 2018 7:05 pm

I'm sure this may have been asked before...
I restored an early 1961 FORD M151 way back in 1981. picked a close color from an accessory I bought at the time and had it mixed.
now time to repaint it.
SERIAL NUMBER 2C-2017..
Also, any one have any early seat frames with turning adjustments?
thanks !

The early M-151's were 24087 S.G. I remember them as being a bit darker and slight glossier shade of 24087 than on the other M-Series trucks being delivered in 1961.

Follow this thread... http://g838.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=981 ... 4&start=15

Muttguru has a good writeup on paint color towards end of second page.

If we could only find Bud Werner's M-151 Jeep with around 70 original miles that he kept indoors with all the other Jeeps. It was the darker glossier version of 24087 SG
