Following the blueprint design of the original M151A2-LC as seen in this picture and then adding our mods to strenthen and shore up the new rig.
The beginig of the project, pulling the engine and tranny and removing the Independent suspension.
Nate takes on the welding repairs,sanding and prime paint of the hood and Grills.
Welding in the new mounts for the front leaf springs and new 1/4 steel floors and toe boards.
Replacing the stock flat fenders with M151A2 drop fenders, as the original fenders were torn and damaged.
The art work begins
The new rear floor plate, used for bodyweight and reinforment of uni-body to the uni-frame, so we can jump hard and high.
The rear Leaf springs from a 1942 Ford GPW
The rear u-bolts and mounting plates.
The d-rings or lifting shakles for the new front bumper.
The rear floor bottom skid plate that ties into the uni-frame and top floor plate.
Top view of the new front floors and toe boards 1/4 inch steel plating tied into the uni-frame and bottom channel supports, acts as skid plating and frame strength and a rear veiw of the Rops, new tail lights bumperets and pintle hook.
The new rear floor mounted Gas tank, taken from a WWII 2/12 ton truck step.

If I had not been so ill the past year we should have been done by now and then all the flooding didn't help any either.
And the progress shall continue...LOL

you are certainly digging into the past with this.
The man you are looking for is or was Bleddyn Cynfin (Welsh name). I think he passed away years ago but his son Nate carried on for a while, then disappeared from the MV boards.
Here's his ultra-modified M151A2 with solid axles.

Good Lord! THAT thing again!!!!! Many, MANY years ago he had a temper tantrum and he took a lot of his posts and deleted them which rendered threads they were in useless. I was not running the site at that time or I would have just deleted him and all of his content since it was all useless at that point. As it is today as well. All in favor of elimination?

And I just realized this is on the 503 so I am still not running the site. He did the same thing on the g838.
