M151 Rim with a Missing Hole

Post by ojgrsoi » Sat Nov 13, 2021 4:20 pm

Does anyone know why this rim would not have a hole punched as shown? It has not been patched or filled. It was made that way.

Manufacturing defect would be my guess that made it out the door. As I recall, Diamond Jim has one like that. I would hold on to that!

Maybe it was a Friday afternoon Quitting time thing. (Never buy a Car made on a Monday or Friday.. Monday is Hangover, Friday is distraction of pending weekend)
Interesting and serves no special purpose I can think of.
