Circuit 28 on an A2 harness.

Post by Gunbunny198 » Fri May 22, 2020 4:24 am

So I just got an A2 harness to replace my too far gone A1 harness. On the rear harness there are 6 wires to the front. On the front harness there is only 5 wires to rear. I have matched all wires to their corresponding numbers and the one wire left over is #28... does this one wire go to the instrument panel? All illustrations I can fine of the A2 harness show 6 wires to 6 wires but wiring diagrams show 5 with an uninterrupted #28 wire from tank to gauge. I just wanna be sure before I cross wires.

But on mine there are only 5 wires on the front harness and there's 6 on the rear harness. All the numbers you said match but wire 28 is only on the rear harness. So does it go from the tank to the gauge?
