Thanks for your help everyone .......Fil and Rick; I did purchase two manuals that a vender sold me..TM 9-2320-218-34 and TM 9-2320-218-34P They helped a lot with this project but not with electrical.

The ones that Rick posted are good because they show wire numbers but I can't make out the letters for where the wires go.

Fil...... are you saying somewhere on this forum the manuals are here ? If not can you steer me to the right place to purchase them ? I know I really should have my own.

I am using the A2 alternator and turn signal system with my new A2 harness. At this time I'm using the A1 windshield with vacuum wipers.

I'm going to try and decipher the A1 instrument panel today.

Thanks for your time

Remember alternators are the same electrically and mechanically.
Wiring is the same on an A2 harness.
Since you are using that harness look at the A2 diagram not the A1.
Also refer to the -20-1 and -20-2 of the m151A2 for wiring diagrams and blow ups if the switches.
This us the kind if stuff that makes setup and triubleshooting easier

Thanks Fil......What Ive been doing is copying everything I could from the A2 front half I bought, Not everything is there. The ignition switch was still there and wired in so I went by those numbers and positions. I used the circuit breakers from the A2. Really its just the instrument panel now, also using the mechanical fuel pump. Unfortunately the A2 did not come with instrument panel. Also figured out a heat gun works wonders for all these wire plugs.
I am having hard time figuring out where the manuals are, on this forum. I need help in getting around this forum. where do I find these numbers you tell me about ?

Go here. https://g838.org/public_html/added_pages/manuals.html. If you need to do any electrical troubleshooting then the -20 1971 version is MUCH better. The 1982 version eliminated the troubleshooting section.

I am offering large wiring diagram 30x40 inches for the A2.
Very convenient for tracing things in the shop.
$20.00 delivered.
That’s my pitch for the day!
