Here are the floor supports. I'm drawing the tooling for forming the large radius. The light gray part is the NOS part. Took picture after close today and didn't feel like turning on the shop lights.

Curious, is this part of the underbody repair "kit" (larger parts meant for motor pool weld atop old cleaned up existing metal) or is it a direct replacement where you totally drill out the old pieces and insert the new ones.
Excellent and much appreciated work here!
Best wishes in the New Decade!

This is the copy of the underbody repair kit. I'll probably make the original replacement as well. It'll be interesting to see how the radius turns out. I'm designing the tooling to compensate for some spring back.

Will, If you read the manual it tells you to completely remove the old part before installing the new replacement. Do not install over the old channel. The reason they were made wider was so that you had clean metal to weld to through the plug weld holes. If the old metal was left in there it would continue to rust and take out both the rest of the old and the new.

Tooling for forming the large radius on the hat channel floor supports is in our machine shop, here's the other update on the underbody parts:

We'll have to do some fit up / tweaks to the outer pieces as the design is complex

Working on A2 rear cross member again. Going to make a minor change on the bottom but these are good parts. Still have to make the plate that the tail light mounts to. The part in primer is NOS.
