reunited with '52 M38 after 44 years.
My dad got his first M38 (a 1951) 54 years back in 1965, when I was 10. By the early 1970's that was my high school ride. The '51 rusted out, alas, but he replaced it with a '52 in early 1975, which was my regular ride summers home from college. Since 1995 the '52 was with another family member, but it just came back to me....a great old friend from the past

Nice to see how unmolested it looks to be! I get the roll cage, one of mine has it the other doesn't.
Just a suggestion, lose those two side reflectors as soon as you can find the correct OD ones. Otherwise great looking!

my thanks to you both, gents.
As always, it's a little rougher in person that as appears in the photos, so there is some work to do.
the roll bar can come off with 4 bolts, but only for static display!
mdainsd, these is the same unit on which you gave me some pricing advice about a month back, thanks again for that

You have an excellent eye, sir.
Yes the house in the background was already 187 years old the day the M38 was built.
"When you have an antique house, the only thing that works is you."
George Washington never slept there, nothing famous happened, we just try to be good stewards and not screw it up too badly... sort of like having a 67 year old car.

Hello,
Yes indeed !!!
Plenty of stewardship work
I grew up in New Hampshire, and most of the houses were like yours.
What a living piece of history you have with your homestead, 254 years old, surely the Minute Men knew of it !
Likely one or two lived there, and took up their muskets during the Revolution
Most of the Minute Men from my little town of Sanbornton, NH were at the Batttle of Bunker Hill.
I remember a farm family, who found muskets hidden in their walls, that likely were used there, and at other battles.
The family still has the same last name as the name on the roster of the troops from Sanbornton.
Many families are still there in the area.
Your jeep is now part of your home and family's history, and looks to be in good hands !
Best Regards,
Ray
