The CJ's thru CJ-5 of the 60's used the same mirror I referred to, except it was black.

Hello Joe,

Thanks for the link info. I don't have any manuals yet for this jeep, but will soon.
I found some of the illustrations listed in online versions last night.

As the pictures were pretty distant, and slightly out of focus, it appears to me that it looks just like the WW2
King Bee mirror head as used in WW2.
Since those are plentiful and well made, I will get one for this jeep, but will first see if that mirror fits the shaft.
I have one on my 1942 GPW to test out.

It is also 5 inches wide.

I have also ordered the complete C clip type straps from WeeBee Webbing for this jeep, that also are of the WW2 style webbing.
This jeep has a one piece gas can strap, with a push lever buckle, but WeeBee said that was for a later model jeep without the C clip strap set.

Best Regards,
Ray

Hello,

Great update for the rebuilt original Carter YS carburetor for the Jeep !!!!

Here is a Youtube link to Scoutpilot's excellent rebuild job he did for me.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fS3c6qMDVE

He also rebuilt the original fuel pump and vacuum pump assembly.
They will be shipped back to me in my ammo crate tomorrow by Rick.
Old Jeep Carbs, LLC.
I highly recommend using his professional services to get your Jeep in tip top running shape !!
I am so very happy about this rebuild, and will refill the crate and send it back to him with 4 more 529s WW2 carbs to rebuild next.

One should take advantage of someone's skills offered to rebuild these most important parts for your entire jeep, these craftsmen are few and far between !!
Build it back to factory specs, no stalling or gasoline leaking out the worn shafts !!!

Best Regards,
Ray

I dug out my NOS Spare King Bees that are in Chev 4X4 boxes, they match the shape in the pics I listed. These are tinted.
