Hello VJ,
Can you post more pictures of your truck?
It looks to be pretty complete, are you going to start a restoration ?
Their are many in France and around Europe, one of my friends in France has a closed cab version of this truck with
the bomb lift package in the back.
It will come in very handy for everyday use in lifting heavy things and moving things !!!!
My brother has that package on a Ford GTB truck, I think it has a Yale lift ?
Best Regards,
Ray

Hello Ben,
More accurate would be to say a Closed Cab CCKW with the boom lift atatched in the back of the bed.
Original configuration ? French Army modification ?
I have no idea.
it was nice though.

Hello Ben,
It looked like this, it even had its USA number on it still :
I am not familiar with the actual model number, but it had similar looking the equipment in the back.
Likely a different type truck, but more pictures would be nice.
Best Regards,
Ray

Re: cckw m27 b1
The M-27 was standardized in late 1943, chassis production was during 1944 thru 1945, there were no closed cab M-27's. You may be confusing the lifting device with the wrecker boom. Do you have a photo of the trucks you are describing? Your photo appeared just as I was completing this post.
It is a CCKW with the wrecker boom which was installed on standard cargo trucks.
Your posts are interesting and draw attention. Europe is a very good source of postwar CCKW use. Keep up the good work.

Hello Ben,
The truck likely was a wrecker, but I think it had 2 "hoops" on the boom.
It could have been a French Army version.
Nonetheless I would really be honored to have one, as it can be put to good use in everyday projects !!!
I saw a CCKW cement truck a few years ago sitting in a desert field in Searchlight, Nevada area at a guys place when I was working
on a BLM project.
Original ?
I have no idea but was vintage for sure
Hopefully we can get some more close up pictures of the posters nice m27B CCKW !!!!!!
Best Regards,
Ray

Re: cckw m27 b1
We lifted the bed and hoist off the cckw, its setting on the ground, I going to work on the 353 first and hope engine is good.Well there is somethings missing, but there a lost of good stuff there. The beds floor was wood and rotting away. The hoist was build by holmes in tn. with a holmes winch.I don,t think there is a TM for the m27 B1. I got to drive it first , then do a resto

Hello,
Thanks for posting the picture !
I imagine your truck is pretty rare to start with, with several restored in Europe.
The truck looks like a great restoration project, and looks to be in pretty good shape.
Clearly it was well cared for after the War by its owners.
Looking forward to following the restoration as you get started !!
The CCKW is a such an awesome piece of history to save !!!!
PS- That Cletrac looks promising too !!
Best Regards,
Ray
