Temptation got me, the Jimmy was looking me in the eye and begging me to fire it up, been setting since Veterans Day Parade. Outside temp is 45F today, Each type MV has it's own time tested starting procedure. Had it going in 20 seconds without having to use priming lever (which I never use). It felt good to hear that healthy GMC 270 sound that only a CCKW makes. 20 minutes of fast idle after the engine was up to operating temp did it some good.
Any of you out there with CCKW's, it's good practice to pump the brake pedal 4 or 5 times after shut down to exhaust the residual vacuum from your Hydrovac.
Did the same to my M-37, also been sitting since November. She fired right off in 20 or so seconds.
