Another topic in another forum inspired this question: Has anyone ever found a wartime or even later picture of their actual jeep in service? I've seen people say "...unless you find an actual photo of your jeep in a unit..." but has that ever really happened?

Re: Photos of Your Jeep
One of our European members had a "hobby" of collecting pictures of jeeps in service during WWII with the express intent of recording the USA registration numbers that he could decipher from the pictures. I wonder if he'll see this (I don't recall who it was) and let us know if he cataloged them or not. If he did, and you know your number, this could be an easy thing to look up.

Yes Farkas Tibor, the website owner, did organize the photos in a sort of catalog.JAB wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 6:05 pmOne of our European members had a "hobby" of collecting pictures of jeeps in service during WWII with the express intent of recording the USA registration numbers that he could decipher from the pictures. It’s rather easy to search a specific hood number in his photo galleries.

Re: Photos of Your Jeep
I have been around here for a long time now and only know of a few that have period photos to go with their jeep.

The above Navy jeep was photographed on the deck of the ship and I saw the photo when taking the photos in the link.
My radio jeep was the last of 112 MZ-1 made, and may be in this link... who knows?

Re: Photos of Your Jeep
What are the odds, about 1 in 625,000 --- if every jeep had a photo taken during its life?
That's still a lot better than the odds of winning the powerball lottery.
Good luck!
