Hello Wagoneer,
Welcome to the G503 !!!
That looks like a beautiful Jeep !!!!
It looks to be in great shape, and it looks like you have the original front bumper as well.
Keep us posted, it will be a great restoration, and even has a nice
Arizona based WW2 contract rebuild tag on the dash and that is cool !!
Best Regards,
Ray

Hello Wagoneer,
Welcome to the G and excellent find!!! My 42 GPW was also produced at the Richmond, CA plant and was later reconditioned by the Moore Equipment co. in Modesto, CA. Interesting article that you might be interested in reading more about the process.

For reference, look at my frame serial number.

Re: 42' GPW barn/garage find.
Thank you to everyone for the reply and warm welcome. I was turned-on to this excellent forum(s) by a fellow GPW owner here, and it has been an incredibly useful resource. I regret I haven't yet detailed my member information; I was a regular on other jeep/wrangler forums for many years.
I do not have any inkling on the 134 currently installed in "Russell", other than the number (which ADOT assigned to the title waaaaay back) and the "Industrial" font on the head. Presumably, it was repowered while at depot, as the "original" owner doesn't know of it having been replaced at least as far back as the 50's. We removed the GPW from the family garage after a 40 year sleep; all tires held air when inflated but the engine was seized. We got it to my shop, and after a couple hours of sea foam/marvel 50/50 on the pistons, it easily rolled-over. An hour later, it was running perfectly, with 40 psi at idle, with no smoke (except pack rats had stuffed the exhaust with dried plums, which caught fire...more smoke than a sea foam "intake enema" treatment. However, no harm done.
Enclosed are a few more pics. Thank you all again!

Center data plate close-up. Also, there is no body number I could find on the left toe gusset, or anywhere else. Lots of scripted fasteners, however.

Hello Wagoneer,
There were no body serial numbers on the Ford built body gussets.
If you have no numbers than you are lucky to have an original Ford built body
Only the ACM ( American Central Manufacturing ) built bodies, ACM 1 type and ACM 2 type,
used by Willys on all their jeeps, and later on by Ford,
had serial numbers for the bodies stamped on the gussets.
Ford actually used both ACM types later in their production,
in addition to the 2 earlier type Ford built bodies.
(Ford script tubs and Ford non script tubs)
You should have a Ford non script tub.
You can tell a Ford built body by having rectangular shaped indentations around your rear tool box lock positions.
You can also find an F script with the letters GPW , stamped on the left driver's side of the transmission hump. likely covered up by your gas tank
Best Regards,
Ray
