Re: Willys MB 1944
Hello Friends,
Thank you for the words of praise. I bought this Jeep from Mr. Steve Lash in 2009, I hereby send him a cordial greeting. Jeep seemed in good condition. He suffered from some childhood diseases (oil leak, noisy differentials and great will in steering gear). At that time, I was just working to renovate my Willys M38A1, using it in the condition I bought it. In 2014 I attended the 70th anniversary of the Normandy landings. Immediately upon arrival, I disassembled the Jeep into the last screw. It took me five years to put it back together. When searching for spare parts I was patient and so the vast majority of used spare parts are originals. I also refurbished Monroe shock absorbers. The engine, both differentials and gearboxes are fully reconstructed. All bushings and bearings are replaced. Renovating Jeep to its present form was a road long, time-consuming and costly journey. However, I regret nothing. I liked doing it.

Re: Willys MB 1944
I completely took apart and once again pieced both axles. I've always tried to renovate as much of the original parts.

In June I attended the 75th anniversary of the landing in Normandy. I think that the Jeep was in good company.
