Unrestored 45 GPW

This appears to be a USMC or air Force Jeep, did they paint them yellow? It’s been in storage for many years and has matching numbers.

DOD is July of 45

Unrestored? Maybe now, but SOMEONE worked on it (maybe a few times) Not aware of any yellow or blue military jeeps with red windshields.

yellow was used by the USAAF and USAF postwar, post war on the flightline, AGE equipment was painted yellow, including flightline vehicles... ...blue was used postwar
could be GI paint
