How is this even a question?! Buy it. It looks so unmolested and just forgotten about.

Price is always a consideration, for me at least. What are they asking?

Anybody notice the ax head in the bracket while the handle rotted off. This is the way I found it. People always call me when they see a military vehicle for sale . This is how I found this one. Came from a field in n ga

What you have here is a USMC contract MZ radio Jeep. Possibly an MZ-2 depending on when in 1944 it was built. If you would, please post more photos of it! I would also love the Jeeps frame, body and engine number for my records.

If you can’t decide whether to sell or not, get it running and driving anyway as running Jeeps always bring more money, and you might get it running and love it and want to keep it.

How can you tell it’s a MZ radio Jeep? I’ll get the numbers and post more pics.

It has the reinforcement on the passengers side pillar, hole in the cowl for the electric wiper wiring and some other features that one sees... paint, number on the hood, bolt hole pattern.

Farrell is like me, can spot one a mile away!

More photos (glove box floor, body in between the seats) and any body, frame or engine number please. Any additional data plates on the dash?

Does this jeep have a composite body?

I see cast pedals... if February to May 1944 then MZ-1.

Look on page three of the link above and you will see the body gusset numbers. Please look and tell me yours. That thread and a lot of the threads in the USN/USMC forums show the various radio jeeps and answers many questions... it is a lot to take in. :D :D

You know of Richard Grace, he knows the radio jeeps... he is in Palmetto, GA?

Oh, floor of glovebox has an oval hole and I bet you have a large filterette on the firewall!

Thank you for the photos! Based on the frame number, it looks like Mark is correct, and you have a Navy contract MZ-1 radio Jeep. These are among the rarest model of radio Jeeps with only about 112 built for the Navy. I'm still interested in your body and engine serial number the next chance you get. These will further narrow down your date of delivery.

It also looks like you have what's left of the battery boxes behind each of the seats. Further confirmation you have an MZ radio Jeep. Please keep me in mind if you decide to part with these, as I am restoring an MZ-2.

That Jeep record on G503 is : https://g503.com/oldsite/serial-numbers ... rd_id=2104
The body number looks a bit off sequence.

The Willys MB 300518 has a DoD : Thursday January 20th, 1944
