Marine Corp early jeep photo

Post by W. Winget » Thu Dec 06, 2018 9:21 am

Ok, Trolling LOC today, shot supposedly published in May of 42, note the hook on the frame horn, lift ring behind bumperette, white paint for stencils, no trailer receptacles, likely no blackout drive light over there, and sheller steering wheels. Interesting they also have a vacuum wiper (Edit: Electric wiper, thanks Klaas) for the driver...

Here are some of the hard-boiled little cars lined up for servicing in the battalion garage at the New River, North Carolina base. Marine barracks, New River, North Carolina" (now known as Camp Lejeune)

The Marines used the Dyneeto electric wiper on drivers side, just like the early Canadian contract MB's (as were the front and rear lifting rings).
