I have wanted a slat grill to put markings of the AVG, My dad's unit [SATO] was under the 14th AF in Rangoon China during WW-2 about the time it was changing from the AVG to the 14th AF, I saw a slattie in one of our parades here that was presented as an AVG jeep, I thought it really looked great.
You are lucky to have that jeep.

G.I.,firstly my full respect to your Dad. I appreciate what i have in my slattie, it is an obsession now, not a hobby. I dont think i am the only one on this site who thinks in this way. But its suprising, i have been to many shows, and still sometimes told " That cant be a WW2 jeep, its got no jerrycan on". Maybe its a U.K. thing , i dont know. :o . I hope you get your slat grill in honour of your Dad.
