Not often do you see women from that time area that are absolutely timeless beauties. Wow. Very nice.

Hello Yves.

Beautiful ladies there !! :D :D

They are in the US 6th Army " Alamo Force " as we can see with her shoulder patch.
The 6th Army was in extensive combat operations throughout the Pacific Theater in WW2.

Interesting jeep canvas as well with the seams in the top.

And ... as Paul Harvey used to say, the rest of the story : About the Nurse in the back seat ....

She must have been told to get in the back for the photo. 8) OK. I know the current climate but, back then they probably did not even let them drive the jeep. Just saying, different times.

Hello,

Well have no doubt that women did drive jeeps, and trucks and WC54's and planes too :D
Let us not forget that Ike had a woman driver :D

They are Lieutenants as well, and could drive what they wanted, or could have their own driver.

Likely the passenger side rider took the picture, with the other 3 seated getting ready for a journey.

Hello,

Another great picture Yves !!
A young lady powering an early 1942 Dodge WC-52 Weapons Carrier through the mud.
Dodge tag and radiator nose cap :D
Wouldn't it be nice if more young women of today took an interest in Military Vehicles and WW2 History ?
I think it would be great for the hobby, as well as scenic features they would bring :D

Keep up your great work !!

She is driving a GMC and a Dodge on top of her nicely restored MB.

Another type of vehicle driven by a Dame during WWII.

The woman at the wheel is talking with Oveta Culp Hobby, commander of the WACS.
On that photo I don't know what type of vehicle she is driving.
It seems to be a tractor to pull the aircrafts like this one ?

And another one in the UK. Beautiful Fordson airfield tractor
Yes these ladies were driving everything with a steering Wheel.

Celebration in Texas (where?) , 1942, likely after Augustus 15th, because before it was still the 82nd Infantry Division.
Many women on a 1/4-ton truck !

Now I know why every jeep hood I’ve found is concave! Good times ahead for that bunch, cool tombstone guard.
