1944, liberation. Where?
With the Dames traditional costume, specialists can find where the photo was taken,I guess.

It was written "jeep" in the caption, but I guess it's some kind of command car.
Very nice photo of two women helping each other to learn how to drive a military vehicle :x

Might be an International M-1-4 or M-2-4

Look at the mirror bracket and how it is attached to the lower windshield frame.

Yes, it looks like an M-2-4

Today we celebrate the end of WWI, hundredth years ago.
There were no jeeps at that time, but there were also women driving vehicles, particularly ambulances, or like the famous Marie Curie, mobile X-Ray vehicles.

Here an ambulance driven by women in Pervijse, where my grand-father was fighting as brigadier-telephonist, repairing several times a day the telephone lines under the enemy fire.

That women was even repairing cars.

Little cute girl sitting on the jeep jerry can.
Rare photo of a US Navy jeep in the ETO, in September 1944, in Saint Malo, France.

I wish the little girl would have placed her feet so that we could see if it had a USN marked jerrycan. :(
