Re: Jeep dame of the Day
Anyone shedding light on / sharing info on UNRRA hood numbers? Observations on Jeep? I notice the electric wiper motor!

Re: Jeep dame of the Day
In the AAW Jeep book of R. Cowdery, there are many photos of the UNRRA jeeps transfer in 1945.
None of the jeep had hood numbers.
I guess this new E#### hood number is an asset number that belongs to the UNRRA an dis particular to the country or the organization receiving the vehicles.
A hood number starting with a Dxxxxx id also visible on one photo.
Another UNRRA jeep Dame of the Day in Hamburg (1945) with a Uxxx number.

Nice one Yves!
Is that dark foilage in the hedge in the background or her hair to the right of her chest?

Re: Jeep dame of the Day
Dear All,
while we enjoy pictures of beautyfull Jeeps and girls, I post this one as a Dame of the Day on a sombre note. A Jeep and a girl in the Philippines in 1945!
Well, there was a war on and the expression of the girl tells the story! Let's not forget! Bless!
No info on the photographer, but the picture should be a contender for a prize. The Jeep as the symbol of Liberation and military might, the girl child as the symbol of Youth and Hope and Future, the face showing the "buried" emotions of Horrors endured, while grass and herbs are growing!

Another photo that speaks for itself.
I don't know where that photo had been taken, in ETO.
Bad and cold weather, Alsace, Germany?
