Yves, can you post a photo of your "now restored" jeep. It would be interesting to compare it with the photo, i bet it hasnt been overloaded like it was in the original photo. :D
There is already a picture of the "now restored" jeep above in this thread :
viewtopic.php?f=136&t=297259&start=240#p1751673
She was like that before the restoration, in 2005 or 2005:

After the restoration, the Dame of my Jeep, i.e my wife, told me that she preferred the red "Bordeaux" color  !
Despite of that, I've nicknamed the Jeep "Sweet Lou" to the beloved Dame of my Jeep. At least she loves that :)!

Looks like someone installed home made civilian style rear corner bow pocket for a CJ type top. Is my guess correct ?
I kept the holes for the CJ-2a bow pockets, because I still have the CJ2A bows that could be used as safety bars :) .

Thank you for your kind comment.

Here is another Jeep Dame of the Day in Russia, Mogilev 1949. :)!
I should say in USSR because Mogilev is now in Belarus, not in Russia.

That looks like a GPW late enough to have the radio junction box as you can see the 4 screws.

Even though it looks like a TCS controller and cable the boxes in the back and antenna does not appear to be for a TCS.

Very interesting photo! :D :D

WWII is almost over in the ETO. May 2nd 1945
The Jeep Dame of the Day, i.e the driver : "Ok, nobody smiles, I will show my best smile to the photographer !"
After all, she likely knows that the war will come to an end very soon !

I suppose it's General Joe L.Collins behind Eisenhower?
I don't know who are the other officers?

In Strasbourg, France, November 1944.
The "Strasbourgeoises" at the back of a very muddy jeep, after the violent combats to free up the Alsace.

Looks like the wire cutter on the front of the jeep has been used - its bent !
